Just over a month ago, the World of Bob Dylan wrapped up, and we have since been gathering feedback from our participants and partners. We’ll share detailed results of the survey in a few weeks, but even a cursory glance at the data suggests that the event was an overwhelming success. We’re grateful to everyone who made this possible–and particularly to the 500 participants who made the journey to Tulsa to contribute their time, energy, and ideas.
In this video, Ann Powers reflects on how the Bob Dylan Archive® collections and the TU Institute for Bob Dylan Studies serve as both an intellectual and creative magnets capable of drawing all kinds of people to Tulsa and its vibrant music scene. As her comments suggest, we are just now at the start of something big, and the Institute has been hard at work developing a plan for what comes next. In the coming months, we’ll begin building out a new and expanded website, developing publication plans, creating opportunities for people to connect, and planning for the next conference. We will also soon expand our advisory board and think hard about how to make the Institute a diverse and inclusive organization.
