World of Dylan Keynote: Margo Price

In keeping with the tradition of hosting prominent performers and songwriters, the World of Bob Dylan is excited to welcome Margo Price as the featured artist at this year’s event. Across three remarkable albums, she has cemented herself as a force in American music and a generational talent who has never shied away from the sounds that move her and the pain that has shaped her. Her lyrics also frankly engage the topics that tic her off, like music industry double standards, the gender wage gap, or the plight of the American farmer.

Price’s fourth full-length album, Strays (2023), covers everything from substance abuse and self-image to abortion rights and orgasms.  The music took shape amid the isolation of COVID-19 and was inspired by Patti Smith, Tom Petty, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Springsteen, and Dylan.  The album accompanies her recently released book, Maybe We’ll Make It: A Memoir that details the experiences of her early career.  She will in conversation with musician and critic Jeff Slate.
