Keynote Announcement: Anne Waldman

The TU Institute for Bob Dylan Studies is delighted to announce that Anne Waldman will be giving a keynote address at Dylan and the Beats.

Anne Waldman is an internationally-renowned poet, editor, teacher, performer, magpie scholar, infra-structure curator, and cultural/political activist. She helped establish the “Outrider” experimental poetry community and is a distinguished figure in the second generation of Beat poets. Waldman worked with Allen Ginsberg and Diane diPrima as a co-founder of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, the first Buddhist-inspired university in the western hemisphere. She also features with Ginsberg in Dylan’s Renaldo & Clara, in scenes that were shot during the Rolling Thunder Revue tour. Waldman has edited and composed over 60 publications, one of which is an homage to TU alumnus and poet, Ted Berrigan.

Registration for Dylan and the Beats is now open. For more updates, including keynote speaker announcements, like us on Facebook.
